Supply Chain Analyst – St. Louis, MO

Reports to:  Supply Chain Manager


Primary responsibility will be to support the S&OP functions of the organization, which includes ensuring proper inventory management, analyzing budgeted plans vs. actual performance, and preparing periodic reports as required.  This candidate will also coordinate cross-functional efforts with buyer/planners, marketing, distribution, manufacturing and finance to help ensure asset utilization is maximized.  Candidate will be a key member of the operations team to drive key initiatives that aim to improve efficiencies and reduce waste throughout the organization.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Become a key user of the Corporate ERP system and accompanying Business Intelligence reporting application using both to develop relevant reports and dashboards for use in Supply Chain, Operations, and other functional areas of the business
  • Assist in the design and preparation of standard daily, weekly, and monthly reporting packages
  • Gather and interpret relevant Supply Chain data:  operational productivity, demand patterns, inventory turns, aged inventory, logistical costs, customer service fill, and product life-cycle management
  • Work closely with Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to support impact to Supply Chain associated with new product launches
  • Assist all divisions and locations to investigate problems, identify root cause, and implement best practice solutions
  • Based on general observation as well as management input/feedback, develop new analyses and/or metrics designed to track operational initiatives, support business decisions and/or inform management about a topic or trend
  • Participate in inter-departmental and inter-regional project teams focused on various process development/improvement initiatives


Qualifications / Education / Experience

  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office products, specifically PowerPoint & Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve targeted results for management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with requisite interpersonal skills to partner, collaborate and build relationships with internal business partners
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance, Operations, or Business, preferred
  • Preferred experience includes 3+ years of material planning/supply chain management experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment
  • Epicor experience, preferred
  • APICS certifications a plus (CPIM / CSCP)
