The National Sales Training Specialist designs and conducts professional training seminars and classes for Baby Lock Retailers. These trainings are designed to help Retailers gain a working knowledge of the product line. An emphasis is also placed on how to sell Baby Lock products.
Duties and responsibilities
Conduct training in a variety of formats
Teach classes, based on product knowledge and sales skills, to Retailers in person and occasionally on-line.
Conduct in-store trainings for Baby Lock Retailers as requested
Conduct and assist at Baby Lock consumer seminars as needed
Manage all seminar processes to ensure adherence to corporate and Retailer expectations
Assist in the creation of video content to both educate and train Retailers and consumers on the proper usage of our products
Develop and manage support materials
Write class descriptions, outlines, scripts and hand-outs designed to support training classes
Design and create Power Points and other applicable visuals to support training classes
Write demonstrations and other sales communication to support Baby Lock products
Sew and assemble relative samples as needed
Participate in Baby Lock sewing related events
Teach and assist in a training role at Baby Lock’s National Convention (BLT) held annually
Represent Baby Lock and sell product at the Houston International Quilt Festival annually
Train, sell and represent product as requested at Regional Sewing Shows and in Retailer’s stores
Effectively demonstrate and sell Baby Lock sewing machines and software
Assist with booth set-up and tear-down as requested
Schedule on-line classes and register participants
Test and provide feedback on new products as needed
Coordinate travel itineraries and schedule travel arrangements
Support Baby Lock Express Site by collecting, organizing and entering data for participants
Retail experience is beneficial
Candidates will be expected to work in the evenings, over weekends and for days that exceed 12 hours occasionally. They will also be expected to maintain a professional demeanor with challenging customers and retail consumers in addition to navigating a heavy workload with high expectations and at times a very small amount of time to adjust to increasing demands in output and the need to travel.
This position is one that the employee will find themselves being required to lift sewing and serging machines and move them around either from one building to another or from location to location within the building. Standing for long periods of time in common especially when presenting classes and training Retailers. Candidates should expect to have to travel.
