The Product Procurement and Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of the supply plans based upon changes in forecast and customer demands. They will work closely with the product management team and strategic suppliers to manage capacity and ensure finished goods product is available to meet our customers’ expectations. Responsible for monitoring and executing replenishment strategies, SKU transitions, maintaining network balance through parameters, and collaborating with internal and external cross functional partners.
Duties and responsibilities
Preparing, entering, placing and maintaining purchase orders with vendors for materials, as assigned, to this position. Follow-up that order confirmations are received and review order confirmations relative to the purchase order as placed. Resolve any discrepancies prior to receipt of material.
Monitor SKU level forecast versus actual demand in Forecast Management software to adjust supply plans as necessary
Manage purchase orders on a continuous, proactive basis to satisfy company's requirements, initiating corrective action with suppliers as necessary.
Maintain data integrity in systems to facilitate efficient inventory, customer service, and operational metrics
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service to advise of potential supply issues and communicate resolutions
Provide key suppliers with product forecast on as needed basis
Day-to-day owner of supplier relationships:Price List, Part Integrity, Contracts, Capacity analysis, and additional responsibilities as needed and communicates changes cross-functionally for full transparency of business impact
Analyze inventory levels to maintain inventory integrity and minimum service levels. Creates processes to support data integrity
Work with project management and operations teams on the strategic buffer strategy and conduct regular review process; maintain strategic inventory buffer target in MRP system for supply chain to execute
Analyzes surplus/excess Inventory across the system. Leads and assists with various duties associated with measuring and maintaining an accurate inventory within all supply chain work groups
Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts targeted at increasing business impact, reliability, and efficiency related to reporting and data analysis
Lead or participate on special projects as required
0-3 years of purchasing, sales or quality control experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of managing cost, customers and supplier relationships
Ability to problem solve and creatively develop solutions
Normal office conditions.
