The purpose of the position is to inspect units or parts for various quality defects. This can include cosmetic, form, fit and function of components or completed units. Along with the defect identification, the QT will conduct root cause investigations and corrective action implementations to ensure that defects are reduced or eliminated.
Duties and responsibilities
Inspect and verify units and/or parts per print/reports that arrive from vendors.
Inspect and test units manufactured
Accept or reject finished items.
Record and maintain testing data
Record test results on quality controlled documents
Maintain proper recordkeeping of all test sheets used.
Perform calibration checks
Ensure that the testing instrument is properly calibrated prior to the start of every day.
Monitor and assist production to ensure they meet production standards.
Perform line audits at the beginning of the day to ensure proper parts are being used for the builds.
Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment at all times.
Troubleshooting of issues as presented by various groups.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Position is primarily in a manufacturing environment.
May require some overtime and limited weekends.
The position requires standing for long periods of time. The position may require but is not limited to lifting up to 75 lbs periodically, bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, walking, reaching and lifting over the head.
